Ali Syed is Head of GBC Enterprise and Middle east affairs. Ali Syed is also founder of two emerging companies Persontyle and Block1010.  As a global AI and Blockchain technology thought leader, Ali is collaborating with thinkers, researchers, designers, makers, doers, and industry leaders to build a sustainable world and better future. He is an expert technologist and strategist enabling industries and governments create new value, build better products and transform business models using emerging technologies. Ali has over twenty years of experience in the technology and professional services industry, where he held different senior roles. Before founding Persontyle, he worked with many leading companies and organizations of the world including PwC, KPMG, BearingPoint, Sapient, RB, Unilever, EMC, UBS, NHS UK, RELX, Reuters, Capgemini and Dentsu Aegis. He specializes in applying Design Thinking, AI, IoT, Blockchain and scale-out computing/data platforms to transform products and industries. He is adviser and mentor of many emerging technology start-ups and collaborates on R&D projects in EMEA. Ali enjoys meeting people, reading sci-fi books, drinking good coffee, and delivering talks at public events and conferences to share new ideas, case studies, and stories.
